In 2009, 15 water industry professionals embarked on a journey to discover what a Water Sensitive City could look like.
Drawn for all over Australia, and a cross section of disciplines and organizational types they were recognized as emerging water industry leaders by their sponsoring organizations.
The study tour visited countries in Europe and Asia to inquire and learn about the challenges and opportunities faced by each to develop sustainable approaches to future development to address pressures of community expectations climate change, population, politics and finances.
While the study tour description implies a focus on issues related to water the cross over between community and broader sustainable practice was a common theme throughout the journey.
We invite you to explore our site, download our presentations and reports and take home a few ideas so that you too can start building your version of our Water Sensitive City.
Participants of the 2009 Water Sensitive Cities International Study Tour acknowledge and are grateful for the support of sponsoring organizations.
